Kids usually dress up in costumes during Halloween. Since we do this every year, sometimes it’s hard for the parents to come up with new ideas. Here’s a list of the most popular children’s costume ideas so you’ll have a unique costume each year for trick or treating.
1. Superhero costumes – you have a lot of superheroes to choose from – Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Iron Man, Flash, Captain America, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Supergirl or any X-Men character.
2. Disney princess costumes – the best choice for little girls. Ask your little girl which princess she wants to be – Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Aurora, Ariel or Jasmine.
3. Television costumes – your kid can dress like his/her favorite TV character from a TV show like Dora the Explorer, Ben 10, Pokemon, Power Rangers, Sesame Street, Teletubbies, Spongebob Squarepants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Simpsons or Zorro.
4. Celebrity costumes – a lot of stars and pop icons to choose from like Audrey Hepburn, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Marilyn Monroe, Cher, Dolly Parton or Tina Turner.
5. Classic costumes – you can never go wrong with the classic costumes such as clown, jailbird, marionette, pirate, sorceress or witch, vampire and wizard.
6. Animal costumes – the most common and very easy to find costumes like bear, bunny, cat, dog, chicken, duck, gorilla, lion, monkey and a lot more.
7. Movie costumes – popular movie characters from G. I. Joe, Terminator, Star Trek, Star Wars, Austin Powers, Elf, Cat in the Hat, Child’s Play, Corpse Bride, Garfield, Ghostbusters, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.
8. Job costumes – your kid can choose from these professions: doctor, nurse, teacher, fireman, cop, mailman, navy, army, detective or a pilot.
9. Food costumes – dress your kid as a yummy treat – candy, cake, carrot, donut, hamburger, hotdog, ice cream, Mr. Peanut, Mr. Potato, Tootsie Roll or M&M.
